Father's Day Star Card

You will need:

  • Assorted cardstock from the DCWV range

  • Patterned paper from the DCWV printed paper range

  • Sizzix PaddlePunch Star #1 38-0821

  • Sizzix PaddlePunch Star #2 38-0820

  • Sizzix Big Top Alphabet set 38-9873

  • Sticky fixers

  • PVA glue

  • PC for printing decorative strip

 

How to make the card:

  1. Fold a piece of turquoise card measuring 10cm x 20cm and trim with a craft knife and metal ruler to create a funky card shape.

  2. Matt the inside with a piece of bright green card and trim to fit.

  3. With the use of a PC print off the word "Dad" using green ink on white paper and trim to create a 1.5cm strip. With a PaddlePunch decorate the strip with a small star shaped aperture.

  4. Add a torn piece of patterned paper to the top section of your card as indicated using PVA.

  5. Die cut the word "star" from white card using the Big Top alphabet set and embellish with small white card stars created with a PaddlePunch. Trim away any overlapping stars as indicated using a craft knife before attaching your letters to the front of the card with the use of sticky fixers.

  6. With your card opened out fully, PaddlePunch two larger star shapes into the front of your card to complete the design.
