Guy Fawkes Invite

It's that time of year again, bonfire parties, fireworks and of course the great Guy Fawkes! If you are having a get to togehter with your friends why not send out these great invites. They are so easy to make and will add a touch of class to your night!

You will need:

• Sizzix Machine
• Simple Impressions Embossing Folder: You're Invited (now reduced)
• Simple Impressions Embossing Folder: Scare Crow (now reduced)

You will also need:

• Die Cuts with a view: Cardstock Stack - Neutrals
• Assorted Brads
• Gold Craft Wire

How to make the card:

1. Take a large sheet of brown cardstock and fold it in half before cutting it into a triangular cardblank. Use a pair of scissors to cut away sections along its base giving the impression of a bonfire, then use a piece of sandpaper to distress around the edges.
2. Emboss your scarecrow onto a piece of orange cardstock. Use sandpaper to pick out the detail before carefully trimming around the image with a pair of scissors before attaching to the top of the cardblank.
3. Emboss the phrase 'You're Invited' onto a rectangle of yellow cardstock before using sandpaper to pick out the detail. Trim the phrase to size and mat onto a piece of deep red/brown cradstock. Make a couple of slits with a craft knife and add 2 brads before attaching to your card with sticky pads.
4. To add the finishing touch, cut 2 lengths of gold craft wire and curl each end into a spiral before folding each length in half. Attach the lengths of craft wire to the rear of your card using a hot glue gun to give the impression of flames!
