You will need:

How to make the card:

  1. Die cut a large heart and paddlepunch a small heart out of balsa wood. Use stamping inks to discolour the edges to give the impression of wear. Tie the two hearts together using a length of raffia.

  2. Die cut a smaller gold heart and paddlepunch a silver heart using embossing foils, notice how both dies particularily PaddlePunches create a wonderful curled edge when using foils. Attach the two hearts together with a glue gun.

  3. Die cut a pale blue heart and paddlepunch a deep blue heart from handmade textured paper. Attach both together with PVA glue and add a threaded button as detail.

  4. Die cut a large heart from any cardstock to use as a template for the 'borrowed' heart. Place it onto the card and lightly draw around it before carefully tearing out the shape. Next, attach the other 3 hearts using sticky pads.

  5. On a PC, type phrases, old…, new…, borrowed…, & blue… before printing it out in a deep pink colour. Cut the phrase into a strip the same width as the card. Cut a wider strip of pink pearlised cardstock and attach it to your card about 5mm from its base before attaching the phase over the top.
